Hi, you've said you've tried to reinstall, but have you tried to do a repair
on the file as per the message given?

The message says:

Money could not open the file and will close now. Your
file may be corrupt

To repair the file, go to the Windows Start menu and click
Run. Type "memory -s'filename'" where 'filename' is the
complete path to your Money file, and then press Enter.
If Money still cannot open your file, call Microsoft
Technical Support.

I thought I would try this message board first. Also, I'm
not home until after 6:00 PM each evening.

Unfortunately I do not have a back up of the data file.
Thanks

What it's telling you about running "msmoney -s" is probably correct. There
is also a thing called the "salv.exe" utility. See
http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=104 for more information about this whole
process. Be sure and do the test with the Sample.MNY data file from the
Program Files\Microsoft Money folder.

When you solve this, please start making backups.

Can you open the sample data file? Do you have a backup of your data file?

Tried to access MSMoney 2000 tonight. Recived error
message that a file could be corrupt. Tried to reinstall
using original CD. Did not work. Was originally
