You can Void the two transactions by right-clicking the
transactions.

My previous answer should have answered this.

Mark the transaction as void.

Default Null a transaction, but not delete

How do I null/suppress a transaction that is nonsense. For example, my bank
charge a fee by mistake, and correct it later. I have now two transactions
in the statement that cancel each other in dollar amount. It's no use to
categorize them, and I don't want it to show up in any reports or similar
things. But at minimum, I just want to keep them stay within the account as
two transactions. so I don't want to delete them permanently.

Is there a way for my purpose?
