In addition to major prorgram updates, the MSN MoneyCentral plug-ins may not
install properly for non-admin users, either.

In addition to the program itself in the Program Files hierarchy, there are
per-user Money-related files kept for each user under the Documents and
Settings hierarchy. Even though there is only one "Downloaded Program
Files" folder for the MSN ActiveX stuff, there seem to be .ini and/or
registry settings that have to be set per-user.

The best workaround would probably be to momentarily elevate your privileges
to admin, apply the updates, then demote yourself back to power user or
user. Major updates that require closing and restarting Money are few and
far between, so this shouldn't be an everyday annoyance.

After having my system hosed by some sort of popup-borne adware parasite
this weekend (yes, I have all current security updates for all products),
I'm demoting myself back to power user, after a year or so operating as an
administrator.
