Default Re: Tutorial for Money 2003

What's a "budget account of a credit card"?

Are you asking about budgeting your credit card payments? Money works
budgeting at the source of the payments--the original expenses--not at the
payments themselves. I.e., you budget the $65 you spend on Food:Groceries
this afternoon and the $123 you spend on Interest Expense:Other Interest
over time paying rent on the money you are borrowing to pay for the
groceries, not the $188 you will Transfer to the credit card company over
time. This way you can manage the actual spending now, not the cash flow in
the rear view mirror months from now. You can also recognize that the
Interest Expense is just more spending and is one component of spending that
is utterly discretionary in the long term.

There is much more on this in the FAQ at http://umpmfaq.info.

Microsoft Money 2003 for Dummies by Weverka.

Like all of the Dummies books it is basic, but is readable and usable.
It appears to be written with only Money 2002 as the 2003 features are
not discussed.

Amazon lists it at 30% discount and some sites where can buy used.

There's an online guide - not sure whether it's the same as what you've
seen: http://www.microsoft.com/money/support/manual/ and there is a tour
online http://www.microsoft.com/money/info/tour/

There may also be some third party books available, but I've never looked.
