| If you are trying to select an existing symbol when creating a new investment, you haven't understood the advice you have read. If you have already defined an investment that uses the symbol you want to assign to a new investment, you should not be creating a new investment--you should be using the one that's already been created. Let's say you want to enter a Buy of XYZ Corp into account 2. Go to> different accounts. Again and again I read "choose the symbol from the drop > down list." Click into the bottom of the register into the Investment area. To the right of the white space will be a little down-arrow. Click that. You can select XYZ Corp from the list. |

| I have read the messages pertaining to using the same ticker symbol for 2 different accounts. Again and again I read "choose the symbol from the drop down list." I am using Money 2003, and there is no drop down list offered. I can search for the symbol, but am not allowed to select it because it is already being used. Following instructions in Help, I am double clicking the investment (which takes me to a graph), choosing Details from the left, and from that screen attempting to choose the symbol. No drop down list is provided here. Is there another screen that provides a drop down list? If so, please give me step by step detail on how to get there. Thank you, LSouba |
