Whenever that kind o thing became a problem you just made a fresh copy of disk one again. Of course you had to able to PDF format a floppy disk first to hold bit more. Me thinks was an anti pirate thing too. Ah, the old days. My text still doesn't wrap correcty the words are broken. If anyon knows what I'm doing wrong, please tell me - fuzzbut --------------------------------------- Posted via http://www.mcse.m --------------------------------------- View this thread: http://www.mcse.ms/message438515.htm |

When I try to reinstall my copy of Money 97, it says that I have already> that they won't give you on older versions. installed it too many times. It nags me about this with every single file that is in the entire programs, so I have to push the button to ignore it hundreds of times in order to get the software loaded. I complained to Microsoft about this and they said that it is because I have reinstalled the program too many times on too many different windows installations. Apparently the floppy disk version records a counter of the number of times the installation has been run, as some sort of an anti-piracy thing. I told them they could stuff it because their stupid Windows software is what is so buggy that would require me to reinstall all of this crap so many times, again and again. If Windows didn't keep crashing and having to be reinstalled for one reason or another, I wouldn't be reinstalling the rest of my software. Of course, since then I've upgraded to Money 2000 and subsequently to Money 2003, both of which are on a CD-ROM which is read-only and thus it has no way to tell how many times I've installed it. -Jeff |

My Money 2000 does all this just fine and as far as I know version older than that are still working fine. Intuit may grab a few extra bucks now on Quicken, Turbo tax, etc. Bu when all their customers change to Money, TaxCut, etc., it will serv them right. This is my personal opinion and I have no official capacity here. can't even figure out why my text doesn't wrap properly - fuzzbut --------------------------------------- Posted via http://www.mcse.m --------------------------------------- View this thread: http://www.mcse.ms/message438515.htm |

| Can someone tell me whether, or how often I must renew Money, in order to use online services such as updating mutual fund prices? I am thinking of switching from Quicken, because they are starting to require me to upgrade in order to keep the online services. Does Money have the same requirement? Thank you. |
