Money wants to take me to the first occurrence of the bill - I am not allowed to edit other than from the very first instance and then it is either a 'one-off' or else all of the future payments. - quote - > 2.) Yep - looks like this is what I'lll be doing.> payment at the current amount, and then create a new bill > with the new amount beginning with the future date of > change you want payments to change. | Why not set up 2 bill series? One will be "as is" but you will put a final payment date in the relevant field so on that date the bill series becomes ineffective. Then set up second bill series starting when the other expires for the new higher amount? Cash flow, planner etc should be happy with this (I think!) Well that's a workaround for what I want, thanks for that.> it changes and then create one-off payments for each month in between. | Two ways I have found.....1) On your bills and deposits page, edit bill series for the new amount, then go back in and edit single occurrence for the months of the old amount. OR 2.) End the current bill series at the end of the last payment at the current amount, and then create a new bill with the new amount beginning with the future date of change you want payments to change. Depending on how many months in the future #2 might be more timesaving. Hope this helps. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Keep a diary on your computer. > "Paul Blarmy" <foxesfan[at]trashmail.net> wrote in message > news:MPG.1aa3217f692aff42989d30[at]news.individual.de... > > On Sun, 22 Feb 2004 18:59:41 -0000, Stickems wrote... > > > > Keep a diary. > > > Old fashioned manual methods when I've got a computer? With 98 you could change the amount and set the date of next payment to when it changes and then create one-off payments for each month in between. Or create a new payment set to start in the future and be reminded by the fact that 2 payments suddenly appear on the register (delete the old one then). |

| Anyone help with the following: I want to change the amount of a monthly paid bill. The amount though will not be changing for several months yet. When I try to amend the details I am told that Money can only change the first instance of the bill and then all recurring ones. How do I keep the next few months the same but just amend the ones after this? There must be a way other than remembering to do it nearer the time.
