I understand that an update for M2004 got "grabbed" by M2002 and had a "bad"
effect on M2002.

To get rid of the bad update you need to uninstall and reinstall M2002 into
a different directory. This won't affect your data as that is all held in
the *.mny file.

The bad update has been removed from the MS Money updates, so once you have
reinstalled all should be well.
