| I understand that an update for M2004 got "grabbed" by M2002 and had a "bad" effect on M2002. To get rid of the bad update you need to uninstall and reinstall M2002 into a different directory. This won't affect your data as that is all held in the *.mny file. The bad update has been removed from the MS Money updates, so once you have reinstalled all should be well. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money Hints/Tips http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny UK Wishes/Suggestions mnyukwsh[at]microsoft.com <anonymous[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:13bce01c3f89c$fa880270$a301280a[at]phx.gbl... - quote - > Same problem here. | Same problem here. I smell a rat. What OS are you using? We're using 2000 along with money 2002. We have no need to upgrade since we dont use money for anything other than a simple budget and balencing the checkbook via bank connection. Money 2002 offers everything we need. Anyway, I reinstalled, uninstalled and reinstalled and now money 2002 has gone from not doing anything when I click on the icon, to starting to load then it crashes. The information it gives me is the following: AppName: msmoney.exe AppVer: 10.0.0.731 ModName: mnyob99.dll ModVer: 10.0.0.731 Offset: 000417a1 I think one of M$'s offical upgrades killed my money 2002. I bet the solution I am going to find out I need to do is upgrade either my os, money or both. I could try upgrading my os but I fear that to be a huge overkill. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > please help me! i cannot get money to start on my > computer - i've been using money for over 5 years and > have never had this problem before. i wanted to send a > support request to microsoft, but they require the > product serial number - since i can't start the program, > i can't retrieve the number! what can i do? can anyone > help me?? > . |
