But whatever you do, it should end in a Buy Investment/CD special category which does not need a normal expense category since it isn't an expense. I also depends on the nature of you account. Mine with Fidelity has no cash account, so I just enter a Buy Investment/CD in the checking account targeting the IRA investment account and buying the appropriate investment. | IRA Purchase from Checking Hi. IS there a preferred way to make an IRA purchase from my checking account: 1. Transfer from Checking to IRA Contributions in my Investment account, or 2. Withdrawal from Checking to IRA Contributions. This allows me to Categorize the purchase, but I can not locate an appropriate Category (I guess I could make one up.) Thanks in advance. |
