Default Re: Using Money for UK small business

For reasons best known to themselves Microsoft have not produced a Personal
& Business version in the UK since M2002. They have in the US but that won't
work over here.

From previous postings by a CA, I don't think Money is what you want. It was
aimed more at a sole trader or a v small Company - perhaps husband & wife.

Yes it was possible to keep Personal and Business dealings separate. You set
up an account(s) for the business e.g. current, instant access savings, 90
day notice whatever and also personal accounts. Mind you when I ran M2002
P&B I had two files, One called Bob-Money.mny and one called
Business-Money.mny.

There is a general FAQ at http://www.bollar.org/msmoney/

Default Using Money for UK small business

I run a small construction business in the UK, employing six, . My wife does
the accounts and has been using Sage Financial Controller for some years.
For various reasons we are wanting to change our accounting software and I
am wondering if Money 2003 or 2004 UK version, is suitable for our needs. In
particular, is either of these versions suitable for a small business and is
it possible to keep track of business accounts and personal accounts
separately?

If this query is answered in a FAQ can someone tell me where I can find it.

Thanks.

Dean
