Can you open the sample.mny file. It should be in the same directory as your
main mny file.

3mb is tiny so don't worry about that and PLEASE DO NOT ARCHIVE. That will
cause loads more problems than you could imagine.

Did all that and still had the problem. Does the data file
need to be small? It is about 3Megs. Maybe I should
archive some of the pasts years of financial history and
go from there. Comments?

It might be best to wait until the Money 2002 killer updates problem
has been dealt with however.

Try locating the *.mny file from M2000 with Windows Explorer and double
click on the file name. That will fire up M2002 and it should then convert.

Alternatively if you want to start over just load M2002 and from the Menu
select File > New. That will get rid of all the baggage (unless you
particularly want to preserve it).

Default Upgrading from Money 2000 to Momey 2002

I bought Money 2002 two years ago and just wanting to use
it now. I installed the software and on the "converting
files" portion I get the file is an arcive or read only
file. This is not so.

The orginal file was a Money 98 and I converted it to
Money 2000 (version 8).The Money 2002 is version 10. Is
there something else that must be done to allow the
upgrade?
