| If that was what the design called for, it does make the code right. The design may not make sense, or may not seem as useful as what M01 did, but it is what it is. Learn to use Forecast Cash Flow. | While it may be written that way it does not calculate the after balance correctly. Just because a programer wrote the code that way DOES NOT make it right. If the after balance feature cannot be trusted then it should be left off rather than making people hunt down the reasoning behind the incorrect calculations. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > I know you don't want to hear this, but that was the way it's written, it is > not broken, and it is working correctly, even if that's not the way you > think is correct. | I know you don't want to hear this, but that was the way it's written, it is not broken, and it is working correctly, even if that's not the way you think is correct. See http://www.bollar.org/msmoney/#Q34. This has also been asked and answered several times already this week. | I switched from Money 2000 to Money 2004 recently. I have noticed that on the bill and deposit manager looking at a 30 day window for example that if you have a recurring transaction it will only display the next occurence of that transaction. For example I have setup my pay check as a recurring deposit each week. But looking at the 30 window only shows one upcoming transaction on that Friday. The following Friday's deposit is not even listed until the currently displayed transaction is recorded. The problem comes when you try to forcast your balance by highlighting a range of transactions you end up with the wrong ending balance. I did not have this problem with Money 2000 as it displayed all the recurring transactions for whatever period of time was desired. And by highlighting a range of transactions you would get an accurate ending balance. Does anyone have information on how to fix this problem? I talked with Microsoft and was told "that was the way it written and it is not broken". But it is not working correctly please someone help. |
