It's exactly the same for reporting classifications vs. categories. Every
report where it makes sense offers control over date range separately from
controlling classification and category.

Thank you, but I believe it's idfferent for reports of
classifications and reports of categories. Any idea how
to do it for classifications?

Every report can be customized for date ranges. Many screens can be set to
view last 12 months or current year. File|Archive removes old transactions
but for countless reasons all recounted in the NG, I strongly recommend
against it and do not practice it myself.

Default how do I focus on the current year

This is a silly question but I've been using money 2003
for a year and a half now and I want to remove the
previous year's data or at least hide it so I can focus
on this year--especially when viewing spending by
classification--is there any way to do this? To hide the
previous year's information?

Thanks,
gerald
