| Money dumbs down "Cash Withdrawal" to an Expense. I think they were assuming that Cash Withdrawal was for people who never get far enough to set it up like a transfer to a cash account and then enter transactions in the cash account. At any rate, for Cash Withdrawal to do what you want, they'd have to give us some place to each teach Money where it is that we put our spending cash. You might think that they could just do this with some account association data like Asset accounts to Loans and Investment Accounts to Investment Cash accounts, but there are cases like mine where I have one cash account for my wife and one for me. These make a simple solution more complicated. If you transfer the money to the pocket cash account, that would be> "Cash Withdrawal" transaction automatically adds $$ in the > Cash a/c? suitable if you plan to track the cash expenditures that you make. Most people simplify this by assuming that the money is spent on miscellaneous once they make the cash withdrawal. Your idea is more complete. Doing that for a while would be good, but you may later simplify. |

| Hi all, I m a newbie of ms money 2003. I hv setup 2 a/cs: 1. Bank 2. Cash After adding a "Cash Withdrawal" transaction in the Bank a/c, it does not appear accordingly in the Cash a/c.. Instead, I must add a "Transfer to Cash" transaction to achieve this... Did I misunderstand the term "Cash Withdrawal"? Why not a "Cash Withdrawal" transaction automatically adds $$ in the Cash a/c? Thank you. Rdgs., Ken |
