I'd love to open a dang support case. I can't because I
can't open the program to get the info I need to meet
Microsoft's DEMANDS for info to provide support.

FYI, Just so everyone knows. I did submit a tech request. I would suggest
that others do so as well. I think we need to get Microsofts attention.

I agree; escalation to product group would be preferred (fix vs re-install). If I re-install, it sounds like (from other thread)that Internet updates/patches are causing the problem to reappear. Do you think Microsoft actually listens to their customers?

With all due respect, this is non-normal software
behavior. It's happening to everyone, exactly the same
way... I'd prefer a fix rather than just saying to "re-
install". That's lame. Cal, can you escalate this to
someone in the product group?

Default Money 2002

I have a similar problem. I used Money 2002 last night.
During my download from the bank there was a popup ad
from Microsoft for Money 2004. Now Money 2002 won't open
at all. To start a support request, they tell me to open
Money and get the PID! How can I if the darn thing won't
even open.

I detest Microsoft....

No. Your data is in the .mny file. Uninstall does not delete the
..mny file. Of course having an extra copy never hurts.

These are all program files. Your data is kept in (typically) MyMoney.mny.
The prefix may vary.

Ran the check and found that three files are missing:

mnycored.dll,mnyuid.dll and mnyob99d.dll. If I uninstall
and reinstall will I lose my data?

Default Money 2002

I have been using Money for some time without any
problems downloading transactions. My download went fine
from the bank and seemed to be in Money. It said I had a
statement to review but I don't see the transactions in
the account register. I clicked on help and it said to
clear my temp files - I did and then another faq said to
do Internet Updates. Did that rebooted and now Money
won't even open.

Help it's tax time.
