It's not you. If you search this group, you will find others having the
same problem with Money 97 / 5.0 recently. It could be that Microsoft
finally pulled the plugged, but there's no official word. As long as this
version has been obsolete though, they probably didn't even know the quotes
were still working. One those "Hey, what's this switch do?... ...Uh, I
don't know, why not turn it off?" things.
I guess we just wait as long as we can, getting torked off due to their lack
of simple courtesy, and then go buy Quicken.

As of last week I seem no longer able to download my
stock quote updates..
It keeps comming back the the symbols are not
recognized????
Is there some thing that changed or that I can change to
get this feature working again??
