Default Re: M2004 update error

Like the rest of you, I'm getting exactly the same error
messages (smrtinet.ini; unknown problem - reinstall...).
The good news is it appears to be nothing more than an
annoyance. Money 2004 is working perfectly on my system
with everything else updating without error. My guess is
they'll have it fixed in the next 48 hours.

I have had nothing but excellent service from other
newsgroups and Microsoft Tech support. On the other
hand, if you want to deal with a bunch of money grubbing
idiots who can't find their way out of a paperbag, try
Intuit tech support. Not only are they incompetent but
from past personal experience, they'll charge you an arm
and a leg for their "free" support.

I just got that error again. Besides, there is no such file (SMRTINET.INI)
on my system...

I wish MS would post patches to M2004 for separate download like the rest of
their products...

I have been getting the "Money encountered an error processing the
downloaded file ('SMRTINET.INI')" message in M2003 deluxe for the last week
or so. Anyone know how to clear this?

Default M2004 update error

Lately I have been getting errors in downloading M2004 update. Today I see

"An unknown error has occurred. Please try the operation again. If the
problem persists, re-install Money from your original disks"

Needless to say, I don't want to re-install unneccessasarily.
A few days back, there was the "unable to process SMRTINET.INI" error.

I wish MS would post patches to M2004 for separate download like the rest of
their products ....
