Shorty,

You are now my latest hero. this was so obvious that I did not even look for
this solution.
I did not want to use my passport password to protect my money files.
everyone in my house knows the passport pasword, duh!!!

I agree that there should be a file open option, requiring the use of one or
two passwords, depending on what you want to do,

Default Passport Solution

A MS tech steered to FILE> PASSPORT MANAGER which allowed me to switch to my
current passport or to drop Passport altogether which is what I did since I
doi not use MS Bill Pay. I can still download statments. IMHO there should
be a link to that option on the opening sign in page. He also told me they
were having a problem with a server that does something to Passport that
could cause problems. Hank
