| Money 2004 will automatically find and convert your 'old' .mny file. In my cast, the suggestion to install 2004 to a different directory than my old Money program didn't do me any good (or harm) as the new installation overwrites some registry entries making the old version unworkable!! In Summary, 2004 is great, forget your old version, but just in case, make a backup-copy of your old .mny file as added insurance. |

| Greetings, Phil! I just installed Money04 in my Dell laptop which had Money02 installed. If you read the setup for Money04, it indicates that Money04 will make a backup copy of your current Money files and data and then delete the older version of Money and install Money04. That's exactly what happened, smooth with not a problem. Money04 saved all my data, including my passwords to the bank accounts etc. Hope this helps! God Bless! Rick www.EmbraceHisGrace.com |

Do you make a back-up of your files every week? If so, just make another copy> From: "Phil" anonymous[at]discussions.microsoft.com > Date: 2/11/2004 5:53 PM Eastern Standard Time > Message-id: <e5c301c3f0f1$cf1f5eb0$a301280a[at]phx.gbl> I currently have Bank One's Special Edition of Money > 2002. Help? BEFORE you install 2004. No problem with 2004 replacing 2002. All your data is on the back-up file. (floppy or CD) After 2004 is installed, just load your back-up file and you are all set.
