Yes

I use seven different floppies, one for each day of the week.

Yes, but it would be smarter to at least rotate between two
floppies/sets.

If desk top crashed wanted a backup of all money files, it
would be a major problem if I lost data. System asked if I
wanted to "back up" I said yes. to floppy, I said yes.

After copying to floppy wanted to see info on disk went
into "A" drive and was asked if I wanted to restore file.
My first answer was no I just want to be able to recreate
from floppy. I didn't think I needed to RESTORE anything
as nothing was missing. Term restore is misleading I have
since discovered true meaning so thanks.

I'll ask this Can I in 14 days "restore" to the same
floppy will system overwrite with more current info.

Thanks alot for your time.

joe

You need to clarify what you are trying to say, as I have no idea what the
question really is

In Window Explorer do a single left-click in the left pane on the
floppy to see the contents in the right pane.

To back up files, do File-> Backup within Money.

If you have a USB port, you might want to consider a flash drive.
They have more capacity and are more convenient.

The only way to "see the files open" is to restore them to a regular .MNY
file somewhere on your hard disk. You say "purpose of all this is to back up
files" but putting a floppy into a system and double clicking on a backup
file has only one purpose: to restore the backup, not to make a backup.

Default back up files to floppy

Money 2000 Std ED.

Thought I followed instructions and so transferred money
files to 3 disks as system said was required.

Then put ist disk in "A" drive and doubled clicked icon
for "A" drive and ALL I get is "restoreing disk" when what
I want is to see the files open. Do not know
what I did wrong? need help.

Purpose of all this is to back up files.

Thanks
