It is too bad that the tax authorities are not going to accept the higher basis figures. ;-) I would expect that the tax authorities want you to use the euro figure that existed at the time of the buy. So for tax purposes, I think the thing to do would be to have the account in euros, and convert each transaction from dollars only at the time of purchase. But perhaps somebody with some multi-currency knowledge will have some information for you. |
