| I also have MS Money on two PCs linked by a fast wireless (802.11G) network. I can access MSMo on either PC as long as the MSMo file is not being used on the other PC. I do not believe, however, that MSMo has been built to be accessed on a network (I have since sent my 'wish' to MSFT to make this a priority in the next version). I have had instances where the file became corrupted which I have blamed on MSMo choking during a lapse of the wireless connection. So, if you get it to work, be cautious and be sure to create a backup of the file each time before you try to access the file on the network. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Hello. | Hello. I have two PC's with (licensed) copies of MS Money on them that are networked. I usually work from the desktop when I use Money, but occasionally would like to access it from my laptop. However, when I try to set up the path to the Money file, it won't allow me to use one on another PC. I can't even restore it from the backup (even though I can get to it on the network). The only way I can do it is to use my floppy backup to restore it then save it locally on the laptop. Then I have to do the same thing to get it back onto the desktop. Obviously, I don't do this very often because it's not very convenient. Is there a way to do this so I can access the file from both PC's? Thank you. Mindy |
