Default Re: Online Banking Question

The financial institution must have an interface installed that can
talk to the MS Money application. Read computer programming.

Your best bet is a bank manager responsible for its data processing
department and go from there to find out who holds the date processing
department budget. Good luck.

Hint: Worse case switch to NetBank. I've been a customer for years
and love it. Best case is you do not reside in GA so your money is a
bit out of reach of your State's legal vultures.

Hi... it doesn't have to be on their list to be
supported...

However features like background banking most likely will
not work if it isn't listed with Microsoft or if your
bank doesn't offer that service. I also find it to be
annoying and a nuissance anyways. But normal online
banking is very convenient, I love it and use it almost
every 3 days.

If you know your bank offers online bank, ask them to
sign you up. They will give you a login name, password
and the banks web address to start with. Once logged in,
look for a button or link or other indicator that
says "export to" or something like that. Almost all
banks that have online banking allow you to download your
statements in Money or Quicken format. Either format
will work fine, I suggest getting Money format though.

When it is downloaded, just double click on the file and
it will automatically ask you where to import it into
Money.

If however, your bank doesn't offer any online banking
features, or doesn't allow you to download the files in
Money or Quicken format, give them a call and make sure
they don't offer it. Also ask them if there is any way
of them offering it soon. If worst comes to worst, and
you absolutely must have that feature, change banks.

Best of luck,
Paul

http://www.microsoft.com/money/partner/default.asp

Default Online Banking Question

I just installed Money 2004 and learned that although my
bank has online banking it is not on their list of
Financial Institutions. Does anyone know how who I might
contact to get it added? Thanks!
