From your location I would guess the problem is network related. I
sometimes see my M2003 stock updates die so I kill the Money task and
restart it which seems to help. It might help to stop all networking
activity such as zone alarm, chat sessions, etc etc.

It would help if we knew the IP of MS Money servers so we could ping
it.

I tried all the solutions mentioned in this newsgroups and others
(ActiveX, manual .ocx registration, un-check and re-check "Don't
download....." checkbox, etc.), but none of them worked.
So, I uninstalled Money and all this additional stuff, I reboot the
PC, I verified that everythin had been really removed and finally I
installed Money again.
At this point, after at least 30 unsuccesfull tries... Bingo! Quotes
are updated.
And this is obvious, because previously I had no problems in doing
daily updates.

So, my advice is: NO need to waste time in finding exotic useless
solutions, just leave everything how it worked before and try, try,
try and try again....... Sooner or later you'll be able to contact
that "poor" server!

(My configuration: Win 2000 PRO SP4, Money 2003 Deluxe, Zone Alarm)
