| Did you read the replies the OP got?!?!?!!!!!? Don't File|Import! Use File|Open (for a .MNY file) or File|Restore (for a ..MBF file or a series of them on diskette). If this doesn't solve your problem, please identify the exact error message. It you are getting a message about "incompatible versions" you are NOT having the same problem as the OP. You do not File-> Import to do the conversion. Do File-> Open, or> fine. If you do a QIF import, you will want a loose QIF from each account.> into a qif file and then importing it into money2004 - > without success. > Trying importing the mny file causes an error dialog to > popup saying something about unsupported version 7. > If I try to import the qif file I get: > QIF Statement Import stopped because the file was not > recognized as QIF. A really non-obvious thing: Richard Bollar has discovered that it is important that the investment accounts be imported first in the process. How? Name the QIF files such that they come first alphabetically. So you could, for example, lead off each investment account's QIF file name with an underscore. That will alphabetize before numbers and letters. - quote - > Any ideas? Does this mean I lost my whole transaction
Let's hope you were doing something wrong.> history? |

| Hi there, I have Money99 installed on my old notebook and it works fine. However, I was never upgrading. Now I finally got a new notebook and installed Money2004. I am trying to import my old mny file, but it just doesn't work. I also tried to export my money information from money99 into a qif file and then importing it into money2004 - without success. Trying importing the mny file causes an error dialog to popup saying something about unsupported version 7. If I try to import the qif file I get: QIF Statement Import stopped because the file was not recognized as QIF. Either a line was long or a supposed transaction had too many lines to be QIF. Any ideas? Does this mean I lost my whole transaction history? Cheers Hardy |
