My updates appear to be working again. I didn't do
anything but do appreciate your suggestions/feedback.
Thanks.

I believe MS have been moving servers around and as a result IP addresses
have changed! It is taking a while for them to propagate around the various
ISPs.

Oh, I agree. That's why I said "rarely". There is a URL one can use to
download:

However, even doing that, I was unable to do installations of updates.

Having said all that, yesterday, for the first time since 2/19/2003, Money did
an update on my regular profile! Very strange.

Ron, be careful about dismissing updates. I agree that most of the time they
are not relevant but MS have been known to sneak in a relevant code update.
Unfortunately with out trying to see what's there you will never know! Catch

Nobody from MS officially reads these boards.

Your problem has sometimes been corrected by deleting "temporary internet
files" from the properties windows of Internet Explorer.

However, in my case (Windows XP Pro, Money 2003) there was something in my user
profile of Windows XP that precluded getting these updates. I was able to set
up a separate "clean" user profile, and I use that to get the updates.

Having said that, the updates are rarely important. Usually they are just
financial institutions that get added to the list of those that will work with
Money.

Default Money Updates not working in Money 2002

When I do my Internet Updates in Money 2002 (Standard)
I'm getting the Quotes and Exchange Rates okay (unlike
others here) but the Money Updates are failing. I get
the standard "Your last call encountered an error:
2/3/2004 10:22 PM" and then "An unknown error has
occurred. Please try the operation again. If problem
persists, please reinstall Money from your original
product disks." Tried it -- didn't work. I believe this
feature last worked on or around 1/21/04. Any ideas?
Does anyone from Microsoft read these boards? Seems like
lots of folks are having problems with updates lately.
