Updating Active X controls as suggested by Microsoft
Support and other posting on this board solved the problem
for me with Money 2004 Deluxe running on XP Home. See
Knowledge Base Article 328831, which directly addresses
this issue.

My firewall log shows Quotes attempts going to three locations:
207.46.189.14, 207.46.189.15, 207.46.189.43. Running Tracert on all
three shows that, once the route enters the "207.46.x.x" path, all
access stops. All three locations resolve in the DNS to
"cnbconmoney.com". None will successfully ping.

OK - there are numerous posts in this Newsgroup stating
that the on-line update to stock quotes and news does not
work - everyone getting the "unable to connect to quotes
server" error. Is it working for anyone?

I switched from Quicken to Money and I'm about to switch
back - at least Quicken can do something as simple as
downloading quotes from a server reliably.

Anyone home at Microsoft?
