I think there are problems at the server end. I use MSN MoneyCentral online
to track some "what-if" portfolios and have been experiencing an increasing
amount of problems since about January 28. It often says that the quote
servers are unavailable and it also has been hanging my browser with the
message "Commuicating with MSN Money" on the status line.

The last couple of days it has been almost to the point of unusable.

Default Portfolio no longer updates

Updating Active X controls as suggested by Microsoft
Support and other posting on this board solved the problem
for me with Money 2004 Deluxe running on XP Home. See
Knowledge Base Article 328831, which directly addresses
this issue.

None of these work. When I go to these sites they want me
to update windows and explorer to deal with msn money via
my browser. When I use winzip to extract the .csx file it
did execute, apparently, but there was no change in money,
it still would not update.

Thanks Cal. I had to down load MS Money and install
ActiveX.
I am using Money 2004
I have a Passport but it is turned off
I have a router and a switch for mutible computers

All worked fine until 1/29. No update for Monday and none
for Tuesday (today) until your help. It works now thanks!

It's not that simple. Quotes work for me and many others, but not
for others.

In order to see if there is a pattern,
What is your Money version?
Do you use a passport with Money?
What is your software firewall?

See if either of these help:
