| Normally, if you update the interest rate details for a loan account, even if you change it and then change it back to the original value and save, Money will ask if you want it to re-calculate the loan. If you have got the principal to the correct value, you may want to update from the date of that adjustment forward. It may take a couple of tries, or you may just want to make the last balance adjustment the same date as your last statement. -- regards, Michael Abbaticchio MVP for Exchange Server http://mvps.org/exchange "Skyswim" <anonymous[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:919f01c3e9fc$3bc3e470$a401280a[at]phx.gbl... - quote - > How do I get the mortgage payments that I made in 2003 to > show up in the mortgage account if I didn't pay them from > there. | What do you mean "didn't pay them from there?" In general, you use the "special category" Loan Payment:[name of loan acct]. It expenses an interest component and does a Principal Transfer for the principal component. | How do I get the mortgage payments that I made in 2003 to show up in the mortgage account if I didn't pay them from there. It is a simple transfer from one account to another. I am able to get them by search but I am unable to find a way to add them to the mortgage account and thus reduce my principal? |
