Default Re: repost: ING Direct

I did get it to work but updating the Internet Information had nothing to
do with it. ING needs to update their setup instructions for Money. The
13 step process for linking an account needs to be dropped entirely.
Create the account(s) manually with the appropriate account number(s),
then manually download the statement for each one. Compared to how
automated Money works with my other banks, this process stinks, but it
beats entering everythnig manually.

Have you tried updating your Internet Information? When I try to setup for
them in 2004, it simply adds a favorite website in Money, so you have to
manually download and import into Money anyway from the looks of things.

Default repost: ING Direct

I am trying to set up an ING Direct account in Ms Money 2003 following
the directions on the ING web site. After completing step 12 which is
"make sure ING DIRECT is selected" in the Online setup window, click
next. When I do this it prompts me for a username and password. This
is not what the instructions say should happen. They say Money should
connect to the internet and download (branding?) information for ING
DIRECT. If I try to enter my customer # and PIN as the user name and
password it tells me the password must not contain any numeric
characters. If I try anything else is says it must not contain any
alpha characters. Upon closer inspection, under the password field it
says the password must be exactly 0 characters. If I try to leave the
password empty, Money complains about that too saying "You must enter
a user id and password". What am I to do? I have called ING Direct and
they do not have technical support. Can anyone here help?
