Money sees USB Flash drives as removable drive backup option.
Perhaps a "Jump Drive" is one of those?

Whether you can back up to a device is the function of the operating system.
If the jump drive is not being handled as a direct writing device by XP then
you will have to backup to the hard disk and then copy the file to the jump
drive.

Default Money 2003 Unable to Backup to Jump Drive

Money 2003, basic version, on Windows XP. Unable to
backup to a Jump Drive. Procedures as outlined by
Microsoft for backup to a CDR do not work on this version
of Money where Microsoft says to merely type in the path
of the CD drive. In my case the path to my jump drive is
I: and this cannot be manually input on the
tools/options/backup. There are three removable drive
options that I can select from on my PC. Money does not
recognize the jump drive. Is this a limitation of the
basic version of Money?

I tried re-initializing Money after installing the Jump
Drive and I tried rebooting the system with the Jump Drive
installed, but Money failed to recognize the Jump Drive as
a backup option. Is this a problem?

Does Money 2004 permit the use of Jump Drives as a
removable drive backup option?
