| #Q93 is a bookmark that is generated from the FAQ database. It should take you to a human readable designation of "Q7", question "How do other users account for ATM withdrawals?" in Section How to do things in Money: Financial Situations. If it doesn't, please identify what browser you are using. Please read the FAQ answer located at http://www.bollar.org/msmoney/#Q93 and you will discover that Transfer:Pocket Change implies an Account, named "Pocket Change" wherein you enter the kinds of transactions you were asking about. | Thanks Dick, That link takes me to the right URL but #Q93 is not found. When I split the transaction and show the extra money as "pocket change", I suppose it just gets listed in the category of "pocket change." Is there a way that Money tracks the use of "pocket change" so a person can get a truer picture of total cash flow? Thanks. | See http://www.bollar.org/msmoney/#Q93. In the case of cash back from a check, enter the check in the checking account for the full amount and then split it, say $25 Food:Groceries and $20 Transfer:Pocket Change. | Once in awhile when I write a check, say for gas or groceeries, I write it over the amount for cash back. How do I track that cash with Money? We generally know what we are spending our pocket cash on so I'd like to know how to let Money know what we are doing with our cash so it can paint a truer cash flow picture for us. Thanks. Jerry. |
