| This is interesting. I also had 12 months free with M03 (expiring in August) and just signed up for another 12 with M04, using the same account. If I log in into billpay web site and check Settings/Personal settings, it says "Remaining free months of MSN Bill Pay service: 12" . So I guess there's no need to create another account. | Here's the 2004 fine print: The MSN Bill Pay special 24-month offer provides you with up to 24 provides you with up to 24 months of free online bill pay service. This MSN Bill Pay offer may be combined with other MSN Bill Pay free offers for not more than 24 free months of successive MSN Bill Pay service during any 24-month period. Pay any business or person with a U.S. mailing address (a bill payment) or transfer funds between your checking, savings, and brokerage accounts (a funds transfer) held at U.S. financial institutions. Make up to 15 bill payments and funds transfers combined per month. Each additional bill payment is $.50 and each additional funds transfer is $1.50. There is no charge to receive e-bills. An existing checking or money market account is required. After your free months of service expire, you will be charged the then current fee for MSN Bill Pay Deluxe. The fee will be automatically deducted from your checking or money market account until you cancel your MSN Bill Pay account or select another plan. If you cancel before your free MSN Bill Pay offer expires, you will not be charged. The MSN Bill Pay special 12-month offer provides you with up to 12 months provides you with up to 12 months of free online bill pay service. This MSN Bill Pay offer may be combined with other MSN Bill Pay free offers for not more than 12 free months of successive MSN Bill Pay service during any 12-month period. | You can either sign up under a new PassPort (and I would assume a new SSN) or you can buy the Premium version which should extend your free trial to 24 months. You cannot have two promotions back-to-back, unless the 2nd one is for a longer period (my understanding). I don't know if you could pay for a month or two and then try another free trial. Anyway, after rebate, premium cost ~$70. The extra 12 months of BillPay are worth ~$72, so you can actually get Premium for free (after a year). If you go to the Sign up page and pretend like you're a new customer, you'll see all the details in the fine print at the bottom of the first page.
