I've just got around to loading up 2005 International and I found an 'enable
support for Value Added Tax (GST/VAT)' in the version I put on when I
created a new file. The option was also on the 'change account settings'
page and it did seem to work there.

I've just brought up a copy of International Money 2004 in a virtual PC,
running with NZ settings, and I couldn't find the option, so it is likely
it's not in the version. I also tried again, changing to Australian options,
and didn't see it there either :-(

I have already searched for help and know about:
Enabling GST/VAT in three locations - one in
tools-> options which enables it for the file, one in the account
details for
the specific accounts you want to track VAT on, and then put in some
rates
against the categories you use.

HOWEVER - there is no appropriate tick box that i can see under tools
--> options

Am I missing something???

~cheers

Hi,

Can anyone help me with setting up gst in my account.
I have MS Money standard 2004.
In tools --> options there is no option in any of the tabs for gst/vat.
Can anyone be more specific?
I have setup gst previously under MS Money 2002 and the account that I
setup was converted to 2004 and the gst option carried over.
Now with new accounts there does not seem to be an option...

please help

~cheers

Turn on VAT in tools-> options-> categories
Then, turn it on for the accounts you want VAT in the account details.
Finally, enter VAT rates in the categories you are tracking VAT in.

You'll find that new transactions allow you to put in VAT and reports should
generate information
