It will take more than "a" QIF file.

Just export your QIF file from 2004 and reimport it into Mny 98-if
that's workable...

I second the previous motion, Money 2004 vs. M98 adds a super convenient
feature for tracking bills and keeping my accounts in balance: You can,
(if your FI supports it), setup your accounts to pull in all you
transactions from your bank/FI. You then compare your manual entries to
your bank's transactions, on say, a daily basis. That is very simple,
in my expreience.

Thanks all ...
I never had a problem with 98. It has the simplicity I
seek in tracking bills and keeping my accounts in balance.
I regard 2004 as bloated with too many features for me.

While I will agree that M04 has some drawbacks in speed relative to M98--to
put it mildly--going back to M98 seems foolhardy in the long run. It was the
single buggiest version of Money ever. It is no longer supported at all by
Microsoft and many support files for it have been disappeared.

When you installed M2004 it made a copy of your Money file and told you
where it put it and what it was called. You need to go back to that file -
rename it as *.mny; install M98 and re-input all the data the you have added
since installing M2004.

On the assumption that you didn't note where the M98 file was stored try
searching for a file *.m11 and rename that.

Default Money 2004 back to 98

Can I go back to Money 98 and use my files even though I
have installed Money 2004? I want to get rid of this 2004
monster and return to a cleaner Money 98 if possible.

Regards
