I'm not sure why Microsoft would care that some other piece of software is
poorly written and/or overachieves. Thanks for posting, though as other
users can now find this in the archives when they run into the issue.

Bought Money2004 today and tried to install it and kept
getting the message "Siservice.exe is preventing the

part of Spam Inspector by Giant Software. To turn off
the offending program, siSpamFilterEngine.exe must be
killed in the task manager **first** otherwise the server
keeps coming back on. When the engine is killed then
siService.exe can be killed and the installation of Money
2004 continues successfully.
