First, you probably should reinstall Money. I don't know if you have
the Money disk to do that.

Then do the restore. When asked "Please choose the Location where
you want to restore the file", Browse to the My Documents folder and
give the Money file a name.

It wants to know exactly what it asks "the Location where you want to
restore the file." Just select My Documents or a folder in My Documents. The
restored file will have the same name as the originally backed up file and
be in the folder you chose.

Default Restoring Backup File to New Program

I have been using Money'98 for several years. My new machine came pre-installed with Money 2004. I am tying to "restore" my '98 backup into my 2004 program but am not sure how to proceed. (I've already crashed my new system by tyring to install the '98 program over the '04 program!) After reading the backup file, the system prompts me to "Please choose the Location where you want to restore the file".
