You may be trying to change an existing (perhaps downloaded) transaction
from withdrawal to transfer, is that correct?

Perhaps if you enter your credit card bill as a recurring bill and enter a
transaction from bills and deposits it will be already marked as a
transfer from the account you will pay it, and that will be what you are
looking for.

Default TRANSFER from Bank A/C to pay off Credit Card

When I attempt to label a bank transaction as TRANSFER,
instead of WITHDRAWAL, the software gives me a NEW
TRANSACTION to enter and ignores the transaction i am
working on. Do I have one of the accounts incorrectly
recorded? Why is this happening?

My goal is to record transactions from the credit card as
expenses, then use my bank a/c to pay off credit card.
I believe the latter transaction should then be recorded
as a TRANSFER. Problem is that I can't get MONEY to
recognize that. Your thoughts are appreciated! Dan
