You will notice a lot of sites that have something of
interest for sale that the LAST thing they tell you is
the price. Take www.imdb.com (internet movie database)
for instance. If you want the "Pro" services you can
sign up for "trial" period and they do not tell you the
price after the trial period. Best bet is ask in advance
using the email contact services. Of course this takes
two weeks to get answer.

This no price until we get you hooked is all over the web
sites.

This is a user to user newsgroup. Anything you post here won't be seen by
MS - so by all means gripe away but don't expect MS to read or even care.

I'm asking you following.
When you are selling your product Windows XP you are
promising a lot of extras that is in the product.

But when the user wants to use them it all of sudden costs
700 dollars to get information of how to set it up.
Is it Microsofts policy to hide all the costs so that
first when the user is hooked on the Program. He will
start to pay.

Now in Sweden it's like this, that it's illegal according
to Swedisch consumer law to suppress information like
this. In Sweden you can't tell that some option is
included in the price but not telling that it cost 700
USD to get to know how to install them.
If the price is set its the "Working option" that is ment.
It shall be complete and working.

Therefor we are now beginning a lawsuit against Microsoft
in Sweden.
What we want to knew is: Is it in Microsofts policy, to do
things like this?

Now in Sweden it's like this, that it's illegal according
to Swedisch consumer law to suppress information like

If the price is set its the "Working option" that is ment.
It shall be complete and working.

Therefor we are now beginning a lawsuit against Microsoft
