backup giving wrong balances

I formated my computer so needed to install money. After
I restore my backup file money gives me balances of over
$1,000,000,000,000 on all acounts. But when i click on
the acount to veiw it all the balances are correct. This
problem also affects the cashflow reports. It isn't the
account starting balances, that would be to easy. I
don't want to update from my bank until I can figure this
out. Can somebody please help. Thank-you
