It is usually not necessary to uninstall the old version.

You can also have both versions on the same machine if you install
into a different folder.

You might want to try the trial
http://www.microsoft.com/money/info/trial/download.asp

When you go to the full Money, it is best to get the program with a
CD in case you later need to reinstall.

Default Upgrading to Money 2004

I had Money 2002(no disk). When my mother board died
Money 2000 was installed - now I can't get into anything
after 3/03. Had backed up on floppy before work was done
on my computer. Could I download Money2004 over
2000/2002? Will it retrieve the files that I can't open?
Would I neeed to uninstall before upgrading?
Thank you.
