Default 2004 reccommended procedure for bill pay?

Not sure about your problem, but do you like Money better
than Quicken? I have Money 2004 and it is as slow as
previous versions. Was Quicken slow?

I have multiple listings for wells fargo (15). I guess I just have to
go through the payee list and edit/delete 'em all. sigh, thanks

Hmmm....

I'm not sure if this is what you are writing about, but do you mean that in
your "Payees" list you have multiple listings for Wells Fargo? If so then
you need to edit your payee list through either deleting unused Payees or
renaming some of them to be common. Deleting Payees doesn't affect past
transactions and, e.g. if you rename an old unused Payee to one you are
already using then you combine and reduce the Payee list.

Default 2004 reccommended procedure for bill pay?

I imported from quicken...

I go to pay a bill with money 2004. In the "pay to" list box, I get an
extremely non-useful ~28 character list of every payee of every check
ever written. I want to pay for example the interest on a home-equity
loan with Wells fargo. Over the years I have written checks to a
zillion versions of wells fargo. They all show up. gasp!

I know my account number. There seems to be no way to easily choose an
entry already filled in with address, phone, account number in the bill
pay page.

In quicken I can go to the payees page, right-click on an account with
the right account number and choose "use" and then my bill pay entry
gets filled in with the right stuff. With Money there seems to be no
easy way to do this, other than to spend eons editing account lists so
that by trial an error the right thing might show up in the "pay to" box.

Help

I really like the rest of the product

Thanks
/b
