Reinstall Money. Check that it works with a new or sample file. Open your regular *.mny file. Let's hope that works. Then reinstall McAfee. If Money still works, good. If not, I know what I would do, but that would be your decision. - quote - > Or are they compatible if you reinstall money
I don't know how to operated McAfee. I run a software firewall> after running mcafee? Thanks again. (Kerio) and a NAT router, but I don't run a virus checker. Slows things down. I practice safe net by not opening most email attachments and by limiting my running of Java and ActiveX to trusted sites. That is not to say that system would work for most people. I also killed Flash in IE6... mainly because I don't like dancing ads, but I am not sure I trust Flash from strangers either. I run a manual virus checker scan every now and then. Clean so far. |

| Bob, thanks for the help. I searched for a *.mny file and only got back the money program not my data. Is it possible that the data is stored elsewhere? Also, will I have to eventually uninstall macafee to get money working? Or are they compatible if you reinstall money after running mcafee? | After installing McAfee AV software, Money would not open. Error message read: "Unable to initialize a required Money component. Please reinstall Money from your original product disks." The web support FAQs do not address this although I see that several people have had a similar problem installing Money after running NAV. My problem is reversed and I fear losing all the data and having the same problem by reinstalling Money. Has anyone out there figured this pup out already? |
