The history stays with the old account and Money 2003 will track the basis information to the shares moved to the new account. This is the easiest and the one practical for the average person. Alternatively you could do a QIF export. Use a macro-capable text editor to split up the transactions into separate QIF files. Then import the QIF files into the new account. Close out the old account. This will be more than most people can or want to handle. |

| Several years ago, in a previous version of Money, I established all of my investments with my mutual fund company in one account. For years, since 1996, I have been manually entering transactions: buys, sells, dividends, interest, etc. for each investment each month. I now have several hundred transactions in this account. Recently, my mutual fund company allows direct download of transactions into money. However, the only option is a separate account for each mutual fund. I would like to retain the historical costs and history of buys, sells, etc. and thus would like to transfer all of the transactions for a particular fund to a new account. Is there any way to export or transfer all transactions for an investment from an account containing multiple investments to an account holding just a single investment? |
