| Jon, sorry too much shorthand ;-) 1. Disconnect from Internet 2. Uninstall NAV 3. Install Money 4. Reinstall NAV 5. Reconnect to Internet. NAV has been know to get upset if you try and install Money after NAV is installed, but if it finds Money resident when NAV is installed all is OK. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money Hints/Tips http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny UK Wishes/Suggestions mnyukwsh[at]microsoft.com "JP" <quiller[at]earthlink.net> wrote in message news:hLYLb.1786$1e.25[at]newsread2.news.pas.earthlink.net... - quote - > Bob, I think we're talking about different things. > Jon > "Bob Peel, MVP" <Bob_Peel[at]kiandra.freeserve.co.ukNO SPAM> wrote in message > news:%23SzKGBp1DHA.2184[at]TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > > Why wouldn't you pull the plug on your Internet connection whilst you do > the > > install? | Why wouldn't you pull the plug on your Internet connection whilst you do the install? There's no way you can get a virus if you aren't connected to the Internet (or reading removable media such as unknown floppies). -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money Hints/Tips http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny UK Wishes/Suggestions mnyukwsh[at]microsoft.com "JP" <quiller[at]earthlink.net> wrote in message news:i9rLb.1244$Pg.185[at]newsread1.news.pas.earthlink.net... - quote - > Same thing happened to me. | Same thing happened to me. The note came up even after all the "Services" had been turned off. I figured then that it was just a genereic warning and so I clicked past it and the install and operation of the program seem just fine (Windows XP and Norton 2004 Professional, anyway). I wasn't willing to uninstall NAV just to install one program. | You can't. Why do think the message come up telling you that you can't? Because you secretly can? | When we were trying to install Money 04 on a PC with Windows 98, we got a message that said that there was a problem with installing it with Norton Antivirus that could be overcome by following directions on a link that does not contain the installation procedure. How can we install the program without interfering with the virus protection software? |
