Go to Bills & Deposits, click New, click Bill. In the bill, set the category
to Loan Payment:[name of loan acct].

Thanks for the reply.

I cannot figure out how to recreate a recurring payment of the loan. I know
how to create recurring bills but can't figure out how to do it for the loan
payment.

I also tried to delete the loan and start over. I deleted all the entries
in both payment accounts and it still would not let me delete the loan
account.

Do you have any further suggestions?

There should be nothing wrong with the loan. The problem is the scheduled
transaction. This is an M03/M04 oddity. The best bet is to delete the
scheduled payment--now paycheck--and recreate it. Also delete any bad
payments entered in the account the payment was coming from. When you
recreate the scheduled payment, set it to the date of the first one you have
to delete and then enter them up to the present.

See http://www.bollar.org/msmoney/#Q106.

Default Money2004 Loan Problem

My car loan had been working perfectly for the 1st 11 payments. Now I've
noticed that starting with the 12/1/03 payment the principle/interest split
has stopped. The category has been changed to "pay Check". The total
payment amount is being debited from my bank account, and the loan account
in Money2004.

Any ideas how to fix this with a minimum of trauma?

The payment source account has changed, but after I made that change the
first two payments were fine.

I thought of just deleting the loan and starting over. After thinking about
I thought this may lead to big problems, especially since two bank accounts
are involved.

Any help is appreciated.
