One way is I would download the transactions from the bank. Then export them as loose QIF. Then edit the QIF file to remove most duplicates. Import as a statement from my bank... duplicates should be recognized and not duplicated that way. The other way is when I download my OFX data I would proceed as normal. But when I see the Connect button, I would hold down the Ctrl+Shift keys as I click Connect. Money will save a copy of the OFX file as *RS.txt in My Documents. Rename that file to *.ofx. Go to the most up-to-date money file and File-> Import the OFX file. You could get duplicates, but deleting/voiding duplicates should be easier than entering 50 transactions. And an extra backup or so won't hurt in case something undesirable happens. No older backup to restore? Perhaps a temporary File-> New file could be set up to gather the available data from the bank. |

| It's the same issue. It's just a further explanation of what happened when I tried to do a repair (your suggested solution). I finally gave up on the transactions I had already downloaded and manually deleted them. The next time I did a repair, Money did not crash. So I downloaded today's transactions -- no crash and now they DO show in the ledger. So it looks like any previous statement downloads must be cleared along with the Internet Explorer Temp files. Now I just have to find a way to get the 50ish transactions I'm missing from the bank. Thanks for the help. I think you may want to try the Standard File Repair. | My cache is exactly 20 MB and I have performed both steps. When I do a quick file repair, Money's status bar displays "Processing Bank Statements" then crashes with a "Money has encountered a problem and needs to close" message and info is sent to Microsoft. I've gone as far as manually deleting all the files in "Temporary Internet Files" (both in my profile and Default User), moving the Temporary Internet Files folder, and manually deleting the downloaded transactions. But the next time I download from my bank, Money crashes when processing, then after restarting it shows new transactions to read, but they do not show in the register. Did you do both steps? You might want to consider reducing the size of the IE6 cache to maybe 20 MB in addition to emptying the cache. |

| Just imported and converted my MS Money Deluxe *.mny file with no problems. Downloaded banking transactions to reconcile and accept. Money indicated 10 items need to be reviewed, yet I cannot see them. Is there a setting in 2004 I need to change in order to view \ accept downloaded transactions? Thanks. |
