In the details, remove the symbol, and rename the existing
investment to something you will never use. Let's suppose you
choose zzzz.

Create a new investment with the correct type, name and symbol.

Go back to investment zzzz and choose View: Investment Details.

Change each transaction to the investment using the drop-down list.
Keep going until there are no more zzzz transactions remaining. At
that point you can "delete" zzzz. Note that "delete" only hides,
so you will not be able to use zzzz name for another investment.
The exception is that with Money 2003 or 2004, delete can actually
delete; if you delete all transactions for zzzz (including watch
accounts) and delete the investment, it will be deleted. You can
use that name again.

Let us know if you encounter problems with that.

Default Money changes option to mutual fund

Just noticed that several, not all, call options recently
purchased are now classified as mutual funds. If I select
the "Return Calculations View" in my portfolio and select
group by "Investment Type" three call options show up in
the mutual fund category.

I can't find any way to change the setting. If I look at
the details screen I can see it thinks it's a mutual fund
but there is no way to change it back to a stock.

Weird!
