Default Re: upgrade from Money 2001 to Money 2004

The older files (pre M98) seem to have fewer upgrade problems--it was a
simpler format and database structure and has, obviously, gone years without
changes.

Default upgrade from Money 2001 to Money 2004

Ironically, the one thing that Money 2004 did do right for
me was: It converted my 9 year old file from Money 3.0
without a problem. So I would say that it should have
certainly worked for you.

"Incompatible versions" to be precise? See

Default upgrade from Money 2001 to Money 2004

Hi

I have recently upgraded from 2001 to 2004 delux. When I try to open my
existing 2001 money file in 2004, a message is display saying that it cannot
be converted.

Is this a problem? Can it be done easily? Do I really have to start from
scratch?

Thanks

John
