Default Re: Money 2004 Deluxe Trial importing from Quicken 2002 H&B

I got it working... what I did is assign a password to my Quicken file, then did the import, then assigned a blank password on my Quicken file.

I have been using Quicken since 1997 and currently use Quicken 2002 Home and Business. I like the Money interface so much more than Quicken and all the freebies that come with it (plus how it integrates with MSN Money with my passport). Just downloaded and installed Money Deluxe 2004, but it won't import my Quicken2002 file. I'm getting password prompts for the Quicken file... no matter what I enter it won't work.

My Quicken file did have a password at one point, but it doesn't have one now. The PIN vault does have one, but that password wouldn't work. I also tried going into Quicken and resetting the password to something blank, but that didn't help either. So I tried exporting to a QIF and Money threw all kinds of errors that it couldn't import some data. I had to say NO to all the questions and it doesn't look like anything got imported.

My Quicken file contains about 10-15 accounts from bank, credit card, liability, asset (car/house), and business lists. Some accounts are hidden (since they have been closed). I'm wondering if my Home & Business data in Quicken is causing problems? Not even sure if I can import with the Money2004 trial version.

I really just want to check out Money before I switch... any ideas? I tried rebooting, but no luck. I'm not going to attept a test import on a clean boot... that is way too much work just to switch to Money.
